If an earth quake has an intensity of x, then it’s magnitude as computed by the Richter scale is given by R(x)=log x/i0 (i0=1) if one earthquake has a magnitude of 2.8 on the Richter scale and a second earthquake has a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale how many times more intense to the nearest whole number is the second earthquake than the first?
