  1. Review “Glossary of Terms Used in Job Descriptions,” found in the Career Directions Handbook.
  1. Write down a description of the various work, social experiences, or academic experiences you have had and the corresponding skills acquired. Use no more than 5 well-constructed sentences to describe this.
  1. Return to the “Glossary of Terms Used in Job Descriptions,” and see which words can be used to better describe the skills you have just listed. Highlight or bold the changes.

This assignment requires you to create a resume. You may use either the chronological or functional print resume formats discussed in Chapter 10. If you do not have work experience, draw upon personal experiences. For example, you can use your experience completing your service learning in high school. Attach your resume as a Word document.
